Tokyo was the final stop on an MBA whirlwind tour of five Asian cities with the International Management Experience in Asia Program at Boston College. Joy has vivid memories of touring the Nissan factory by day, and singing karaoke (very off key!) at night.
On the ground in Japan, it was immediately apparent to Joy that the Japanese have developed strong customs and business ethos that differ from those of the Chinese. It is more Joy's sense than anything else, but Japan, the island nation that it is, has seemed to develop an economy by mostly looking inward, while China outward.
